Duolingo Diary3

Today, I learned the basic rule of the grammar of French. During the lesson, I learned that “un” and “une” means the article, “a” in English. For example, “un garçon” means “a boy” and “une fille” means “a girl” in English. Why does French have two words of this article? That’s because all the nouns of French is divided into masculine and feminine, and masculine nouns use “un” and feminine nouns use “une”. Therefore, if we use French, we have to memorize the the gender of none. I knew the difficulty of learning French.
