"Scrooge was a cold, greedy, mean, old man! The cold within him froze his old face. It made his eyes red and his thin lips blue. And it spoke out in his unkind voice." (p.13) Scrooge was a cold, greedy, mean, and old man. He hated Christmas, and he said "Christmas is humbag". When he got home, He met ghost of Marley who died seven years ago. She said the three ghosts will appear to Scrooge, and follow them. Otherwise, Scrooge will meet a sorrowful last like Marley. As she said, the three ghosts appeared to Scrooge one by one.
