L.A. Detective
"Len says, 'I don't like you, Blane. I don't want your money. But Carmen is in trouble. She needs help. I'll help her.'" (p. 7)Lenny Samuel is an L.A. detective. One day a man called Frank came to his office and he took Len to Mr. Blane by force. Mr. Blane is a rich and also a bad man. Recently, his daughter, Carmen has been kidnapped and the suspect demanded a ransom, so he asked Len to save Carmen. Len doesn't like Mr. Blane, but he agreed to help his daughter.
This book is the story of a detective, and I was surprised to the story. In the end, the position of client and suspect exchanged. In fact, the suspect is a very nice person, and the kidnapping was the plan to punish Mr. Blane. I felt it was a short but good story.
